Pictures of women and girls as young as 14 were taken from their social media pages and posted on the Tumblr blog. Many of the pictures showed women dressed up and ready for a night out and were only intended for friends and family. Police are investigating the webpage, which has since been taken down, due to the alleged underage content and racist remarks.
And three brave Derby mums have spoken about their distress after their pictures appeared on the website. Ms Tucker says the page had taken her profile picture from Facebook and posted it with an incredibly offensive caption. The National Cyber Security Centre has released the following advice about protecting yourself online.
It says: "Think about what you're posting, and who has access to it. Have you configured the privacy options so that it's only accessible to the people you want to see it? On Facebook specifically, privacy options can be altered in the page Settings tab, accessible from the top right drop-down arrow. The year-old works as teaching assistant and her picture was also taken and posted on the webpage.
